FASHION & BEAUTY BLOG .
Hey Girlies ,
Welcome to the 'beauty blog' . On here i will blog about my favourite beauty products , do usual 'beauty hauls' , and rate products that ive already used .
ENJOY X
Yes Its mac again :
So guys just recently i purchased these two amazing MAC products . I have always loved mac - its lipstciks , highlighters , mascaras etc . However just a few weeks ago , i started disliking my MAC foundation - i used to use the 'studio fix' foundation and i felt it wasnt very natural and that it was quite heavy looking and so i wanted to invest in another brand , but then i came across the new MAC 'mineralizer' which i have to say is absolutely amazing - its just so light , and natural looking and although its not a full covearge foundation it sits so so naturally on the skin and lasts the whole day (literally) , and so although its a few pounds more expensive i have to say its totally worth it as its just 'fantabulous'- sorry for the adjective overload (yes thats how much i love it ) . Ultimately , i would deffinately reccomand this for those of you wanting to get a new foundation and this bad boy , gets a 5/5 from me .
Another item i just had to buy (might aswell while i was there - i know thats what we all say , but what can we do , we girls can never have too many lippies ) was this dusty pink lipliner . I have to say its not offten i buy lipliners , iam more of a lipstick person , but when i tried this one i just couldnt resist - ive never seen a colour quite like it . I like wearing it by itself (covering the whole lip) but i have tried mixing it with other shades of pink and nude lipsticks and it looks just as good , so again this one gets a 5/5 from me .
Lipliner : Soar.
Foundation : MAC Mineralize moisture - SPF 15 foundation .
lime crime ? - Not quite but just about ...
Hey girls !
Welcome to my second beauty blog . Today I will be talking about a particular ‘drugstore’ product that I have to say , I use quite often . This Is the MUA Luxe , Velvet Lip lacquers . These are similar to the ‘lime crime’ velvet lipsticks – yes they dry out and become matte . I have to say that these have so far been my favorite drugstore lipsticks and I know there are often problems with shipping with the ‘lime crime’ products and so these are the perfect alternatives .
I purchased three different shades that I preferred most :
Reckless , Dare and Tranquility
– as can be seen by the pictures above and I have to say , all three are pretty good at what they do . However of the three Dare is my fave , because it produces such a clear shade – just like the shade that can be seen from the outside and its also very similar to one of my favorite lipsticks – Flat out fabulous from MAC . So this would get a 4/5 from me .
Reckless , however does not provide the ‘ruby woo’ – maroon shade that meets the eye – its more of a bright red , however despite this it does look quite good – especially with a nude eye do .
Tranquility is one I rarely wear, because I just feel like it doesn’t completely meet the color on the tube – its slightly lighter and also that its not an everyday color so even when I do wear it I tend to mix it with a lipstick or lip liner to give it a more apparent shade and so both this and Reckless would get a 3/5 .
Now I bet your wondering, why has Dare despite me praising it not got a 5 . Well, this is because the only ultimate downfall of these is that their very runny which means they tend to flow on to the skin of your face and make a right mess of your foundation, however I have a ‘life saving’ (not really) solution for you : Before applying get the applier out of the cylinder tube ( as you do ) and rub the brush on the edge of the tube until you feel all the runniness has been rubbed off and the brush seems quite dry.
Also guys another tip : try and apply this to the whole lip area and avoid pressing your lips together to even out the lipstick because; because this is a velvet type lipstick ( not matte from before ) it tends to turn into powder if something rubs against it and so results in the lipstick creating a powder on the surface of your lips .
Oh yea guys , almost forgot to mention that these are super – money wise and only cost £3.00 at Superdrug , which is why I think their so worth it .
SkinCare Routine (s) ..
Hey girlies,
time for another beauty blog . This beauty blog is not on any sort of makeup but on my skincare routine .
Okay , here we go . So my skin is super sensitive, and if I use any fragranced products on my face I almost always, develop some sort of a rash , some dry skin or some serious redness on my face that irritates me ever so much so I have to make sure that whatever I buy is perfect for my skin , and having tried several different products from several different brands I came across Garnier ‘ s , new releases and I know that my skin is quite comfortable with Garnier as I’ve previously used their ‘pink grapefruit scrub’ which was amazing and worked so well with my skin , however I sometimes found that I would still get a lot of dry skin and so I thought why not get something Garnier but different , so I came across the Garnier ‘new active’ and thought that as it comes with a whole set release it’d be really nice to try something with products that all compliment each other and so I did !
I have to say, having been using this for almost 2 months now, these are by far my fave skin care products and not only because they come with others to compliment them, but because they are all made with aloe Vera extracts which make them so so pure . I have two different routines for the day time and night time and these are as follows:
Daily routines:
Daytime:
-
With a cotton pad, apply the Micellar water over the whole face .
-
Now get the gentle deep clean cream wash and apply it on top of the micellar water – You can wet your face before applying this , but I personally prefer not to , simply because I feel like when applying it straight on to the micellar water , it leaves your skin to be very soft .
-
Now wash this with cold water, and dab your face with your towel, so its not completely dry .
-
Follow this on with the pure active hautklar moisturisier.
Night time (usually before I go to bed) :
-
With a cotton pad , apply the micellar water over the whole face .
-
Now get the Charcoal scrub and again I apply this straight on to the micellar water. To do this just squirt a bit out on to your hands and even it out , now apply to your entire face , and rub in circular motions for about a minute – depending on how sensitive your skin is ( the more sensitive , the less you rub) .
-
After having washed this – again with cold water , dab your face and follow it on with the hautklar moisturizer.
There we go guys , that was my routine . If any of you are having problems with finding a good scrub , facial wash , purifying water , or moisturizer I would definitely recommend these products , because before I started using them , I had quite a few spots , along with marks on my forehead but I can now see them slowly disappearing , and I’ am quite sure its because of these products , also they hugely reduce outbreak of dry skin ( which can be so annoying ) so yea , these definitely would get a 5/5 from me .
Also last but not least - I purchased this whole set from ASDA Superstore ( all products were sold separately) but I’ am pretty sure you can find it any drug store !
MINI MAC HAUL ...
Hey beauties ,
I am back with more beauty stuff to share with you guys . Todays beauty blog includes a mini MAC Haul , as you may have figured from the title . So without any further ado , here we go .
Firstly , lip products : I was actually in search for a mid tone pink/ dusty pink lipstick when I went shopping , but could only find , nudes and peaches , and so changed my mind and started looking at other random ones , and came across these two amazing matte shades .
On the left – All fired up matte lipctick (£15.00): I Absolutely fell in love with this shade , trust me its like a rosey /posh pink , the picture just doesn’t do justice . This is a shade that can be worn with a light eye or something that’s got a slight smoke to it as its relatively bright , and so its fab for an everyday light look . Additionally , it also slightly resembles , ‘flat out fabulous ‘ – my all time fave ( which I have lost L) , and so that’s another reason I went for it .
Right – Taupe matte lipstick (£15.00): Its not often that I go for a shade like this , but when I came across this particular shade I just couldn’t resist . Its shade resembles that of a washed brick ( sorry just couldn’t think of anything else) , with a hint of a light peach shade . This shade would be perfect with a smokey eye look , as its so light and would just give it a subtle nude finish .
Lip liner – Chicory (£12.00): I actually wasn’t planning on purchasing a lip liner but come on , we girls can never have too many lip products . I came across this one on the floor actually whilst I was making my way to the tills, ( see , that was a clear sign for me to buy it ) , and when I tried it , I absolutely loved it with TAUPE – it compliments it greatly , and just gives it a slightly darker look . However, if your one that wears lip liners on its own , I wouldn’t highly recommend this , just because it’s a color that’s very unusual , its sort of a redy/orangy/peachy colour and when applying it ; it just doesn’t balance on any one of those colors and is sort of all over the place .
Secondly , moving on to the face products :
Mineralize Crème concealer (£22.00) : After purchasing the mineralize foundation , I have literally fallen in love with every mineralize MAC product , their just so light and natural , and so when my previous concealer finished ( which was the MAC studio finish concealer) I went for this one . To begin with , I have to say , this is absolutely awesome , not only because it’s a liquid but because it comes with a brush which makes so much more easier to apply , blend and mix with your foundation . Also, they sell this in structured shades, meaning foundation shades, which makes life so much easier, so that you can buy the color that is as near to your foundation or 1/2 shade lighter/darker depending on how you like it . I personally bought mine 1 shade darker (NC30) as that’s how I’ve always worn it and also feel as if this allows the concealer to blend equally with your contour – so it doesn’t eliminate the contour .
Mineralize skin finish highlighter - soft and gentle (£24.00) : Previously to highlight my face I used to use banana powder (which came in my contour pallet ) , however i came across these amazing highlighters whilst I was on my spree . They come in few shades , all which are so distinctive in their ways as they depend on what you like when applying your make up . I was personally gonna go for a much lighter shade , however after asking a consultant , about the difference in the shades she explained , how this particular one has more of a shine /shimmer effect , and that the lighter shades are more for those that don’t use translucent powder to give the highlighting areas a more matte finish and having tried them , I actually preferred this one much better as I could instantly see how it outlines the highlighted areas and so went for it and so this is definitely amazing at what it does . Also another great advantage is the fact that it’s a powdered base, which makes it so much more easy to apply whether you use your fingers or a brush .
Wow , I talk so much ! I didn’t even realise I had wrote that much . Anyway girlies , I really hope you enjoyed that mini haul / random shopping spree products .
Thank you so much for reading . Lots of love x
Eye - Shadow heaven ..
Hey Girlies ,
hope your all well ! I was finally able to squeeze in a beauty post for you guys !! This weeks beauty post will include these amazing ' L’Oreal LA PALETTE NUDE ' eye shadows that I picked up this weekend . Okay so knowing me you'll probably know that I have a story about everything, and that's not changed with this . So I went into town to get the 'naked Smokey eye palette’ and before going into debhanems , I stopped by boots to get hand cream and what do I come across , the most beautiful shades of eye shadow ever , and that's when I knew that these were meant for me - no it wasn't that dramatic but ya knaww !
So yes of course I purchased them and omg guys I have to say these are literally so beautiful , like no exaggeration - they are . Their so pigmented and are actually quite similar to some mac ones that I own . Additionally the colors - like wow ! Both palates share fabulous colors :
The beige palate is aimed for the nude look that is perhaps worn by most people on an everyday but also includes darker shades for a slight smoke whereas the rose includes darker and lighter tones , and aims for a light Smokey look . Moreover both come with a L’Oreal brush that is two sided – ones the actual brush and the other is a blender , which makes this great for when your on the go . Nevertheless both share same qualities , are absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend them if you are someone looking for some new eye shadows . Oh yes , how could I forget , these are £14.99 each which for eye shadows these great I think is completely worth it .
So girlies that's the end of that , i really Hope you enjoyed it .
Thank you so much for reading . Lots of love x
Best concealers and why ...
Hey beauties ,
hope your all well . Today's beauty post , is on something that is actually quite close to my heart : concealers - yes that's right !! See on an everyday basis , I only wear BB cream as my skin is way to sensitive to handle foundation everyday , and so in order to get extra coverage , on top of the Bb cream I use quite a lot of concealer and as a result have tried out various different concealers and these four literally have to be my ultimate favorite because each one has their own distinctive quality that I've not seen before. Of course I don't use each concealer everyday , in fact I only use one or two , and to be honest coverage is the last thing that makes these my favorite , it's mostly how they look when applied .
Following is the name of each concealer , and information about when or how I use it :
Maybelline eraser eye - light ( £7.99) : omg , I actually don't know where to start on this one so il do it the 'English language' way . Firstly , it's so easy to apply , and because of the brush role on effect it's even easier to blend , which is one of the reasons I use this on an every day basis , because I honestly am not an early morning person and so I literally wake up half an hour before catching the bus , and so my everyday make up routine has to be extra quick and this makes this so easy . Secondly , this concealer has goji berry extracts in it , which allows me to feel confident about wearing quite a lot of it on my face as like I said my skin is very sensitive and goji berries are known to be best to rejuvenate your skin and keep it healthy . Thirdly , it is 'anti-aging ' and so of course it's got very high coverage , which makes the bb base look like foundation , and so I’am very keen on it . However , the only downfall of this is perhaps how it only comes in two shades : light and nude . I use light because my foundation is slightly darker then my skin tone and so this lifts it up , so if you ever want to determine , what shade you are just examine your foundation .
MUA - hide and conceal ( £1.00 ) : this concealer is another one that I use on an everyday basis , and I use it on top of the Maybelline , not to eliminate the Maybelline concealer but to enhance it , as this concealer , has a slight shimmer to it , and so it automatically adds a highlighting effect to it , which is why I love it so much . This highlighter comes in three shades , light , natural and dark . I went for natural , and I have to say this looks so great , because of its natural shade , it's just perfect of top of anything dark or light . Additionally , this concealer is just £1.00 ( wow right ) , so you just can't go wrong !!
Mineralize Crème concealer (£22.00) : To begin with , I have to say , this concealer is actually quite amazing , not only because it’s a liquid but because it comes with a brush which makes so much more easier to apply , blend and mix with your foundation . This is one of the concealers that I only wear on days when I contour - which is not often , because like I said , I feel like it really blends with the contour .
Mac studio finish NC42 (£ 24.00): I love this concealer so much - even though I don't quite use it as a concealer . I use this along with my contour pallet ( review coming soon ) which is a powder pallet , and so I use this along with the contour as I feel like using something as creamy , thick and moisturising as this , I’ am able to blend the contour with the foundation , which I feel gives it a natural look and doesn't darken my face too much , and this is why , I bought the color NC42 as this is way darker then my foundation and so is perfect to use along with the contour . Additionally , the reason why I chose to buy a studio finish is because it's very moisturise and creamy and so blending becomes very easy , whereas with actual contour sticks - although I love them , I feel like they are too thick and so sometimes tend to darken the face abit too much .
So lovelies, that's the end of that , if any of you are looking for a new concealer i would highly recommend these . Hope you enjoyed that and thank you for reading .

THE FOUNDATION (S) OF LIFE ...
Hey beauties ,
hope your all well . Todays post will be a review on different foundations and I will reveal my absolute favorite foundation - now you see I ‘am that sort of person that literally collects foundations , like I won't stick to one , even though it’ll be my favorite and will need others , for some reason. This post features some of the different foundations that I currently own . As can be seen these have been categorized in two different sections - drugstore foundations and erm what are they called - lets just stick to non - drug store foundations . Okay so here we go with :
-
Drug store foundations : I absolutely love drug store products because of just how cheap they are to buy and do the trick so why spend more and so I try my absolute best to find whatever I need in boots or super drug first before going into Debenhams . However for some reason I always seem to have a problem with drug store foundations , like I can never find one that suits my skin or gives me that flawless base , but these three that can be seen here are drugstore foundations that I haven't had too much of a problem with .
1) Revlon photo ready airbrush effect - this foundation is actually pretty amazing , and really does give sort of a air brush effect , and when you use it ; it literally covers everything if an efficient amount is used , and is not too fine nor is it too thick however the only downside of it for me is that it's aimed at oily skin and not dry , and my skin is heavily dry ( trust me - the struggle is real ) , and so with dry skin does not do the trick well at all and so all the dry bits can literally be seen as if no foundation is worn .
2) Rimmel long lasting foundation - I only used this foundation for about a week , and not because it's not a good foundation , it's just because i find that it's too thick , and when you wear it you can actually tell that your wearing foundation . However it is very long lasting - hence the name , so it's very good to wear if your traveling or going somewhere for the day .
3) Rimmel stay matte foundation - omg guys , this foundation is the thickest foundation I have ever come across in my life , honestly I can't even explain how bulky it is ! When I purchased it , I only bought it as I thought it'd allow create a very flawless finish due to it being matte and it actually doesn't , it's so thick you can see the foundation on the skin . To be honest I wouldn't recommend this at all , although saying this I only have only used it once , when I bought it so if your someone that likes very thick foundations , this would be perfect for you .
-
Undrug store foundations : As I mentioned before , I always have problems with drug store foundations, and so i always end up with using high brand foundations .
1) Mac studio finish foundation : I think previously I've mentioned this foundation , saying that it was quite heavy looking and I started disliking it , however it's actually not that bad - it is quite heavy looking however it's very smooth , and so if you mix it with a finer foundation , eg:I tried it with the Revlon airbrush foundation and it literally created the perfect combo .
2) Mac Mineralize foundation - again I have spoken about this foundation saying just how much I love it , because it's just so natural and light , it is much better the studio finish simply because you don't need anything else with it , and it's literally enough using it on its own , however the only slight disadvantage is that it's got a glossy finish to it , so it's not very matte however i personally prefer this , as the gloss balances beautifully when translucent or setting powder is applied on top .Additionally this foundation is the one that I mostly use on an everyday basis simply because it's just so light on the skin .
3) Make up forever ultra hd invisible cover foundation - omg guys , I just purchased this foundation two weeks ago and I’ am literally falling in love . It honestly does what it says . It's got such a high coverage to it and will literally cover all blemishes , dark circles and spots - and I say this with experience that you don't even need a concealer with it , yes it's that good !! Also it's not too thick - like most full coverage foundations tend to be , it perfectly balances between being fine and thick , which makes it perfect . However it wouldn't be something I would wear on an every basis , as I prefer wearing something that gives more of a natural look everyday .
4) Illamasqua skin base foundation - I've owned this foundation for quite some time now and its actually quite similar to the MAC Mineralize foundation - it's so light on the skin and is very fine , which makes it perfect for a natural everyday look , however if it was to be used for a flawless base , a lot of the product would have to be used !
Moreover as can be seen , another foundation is uncategorised and is on its own - this is the kryolan tv paint stick and the reason its un categorised is because I know for a fact , it's not sold at drugstores , and have never seen it in any shops - I purchased mine from the kryolan website online . This is a cream based stick foundation that is mostly used for - brides, party makeup, photo shoots - so for occasions as this foundation is very very thick and gives extreme full coverage . I've Only used it once after I purchased it - and that was on a relatives wedding , and I have to say it is really good however it's not something that would be worn everyday ! One other thing that Iam not too keen on about this foundation is the fact that you need to use the most efficient amount because even if abit more is used then needed it sort of cakes up on the skin . Additionally , I use the shade F1 in this and the reason I mention this is because it's very hard to find the perfect match for your skin , I had to purchase it twice before I was able to get the perfect shade . For Asian skin , I would recommend F1, Ivory , GG , FS36 , FS38 , FS 45 , FS54 - although I've only tried two of these shades - F1 which is perfect for my skin and GG which is slightly darker , I did some research that proves these shades to be perfect for Asian skin .
Annndd that's a wrap ! So guys that's a wrap on the foundation reviews ! It is of course very clear that I prefer the ‘undrug’ store foundations better , as I feel like they give a much more natural effect and picking a favorite from these is actually quite hard for me , but it has to be the make up forever hd invisible foundation for weekends or days when i get more ready and the Mac Mineralize foundation to wear on an everyday basis .
